Skip the Starbucks line and make it at home. This is going to be the best an easy iced pumpkin spice latte. With just a few ingredients there no need to leave the house. You can stay in your pajamas and still drink your favorite fall drink for less than half the price you’ll pay at the coffee shop.

Pumpkin season is here. With the weather getting cool this is a perfect time to share this favorite iced pumpkin spice latte. I know you’ll be making it this at home this fall when you see how easy it is or even all year round no need to wait until fall now that you’ll know how to make it.

Towards the end of the summer, I dream about all the fall drinks that come out at the coffee shops. I love to try them all. But I don’t love how expensive everything has become. A way to be mindful of cost I decided to make my coffee drinks at home. Not only do you save a lot making this at home, but you also know all the ingredients and can play around with the sweetness level.

Even if you’re not a cold coffee lover you can still make this latte hot. The only thing that’s different is heating up the milk mixture before adding it to your hot coffee or espresso.

What is pumpkin pie spice?

Pumpkin pie spice is a combination of common spices such as ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and allspice. You can find this in the spice section at your local grocery store. This is a common spice added in many fall or holiday recipes. If you can’t find this spice at your grocery store don’t panic, you can easily make it at home. Check out my blog post on how to make pumpkin pie spice.

  • 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cold brew or iced coffee

Serving

  • whipped cream
  • pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon

Instructions

  • Add milk, pumpkin puree, syrup, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice to a bowl, glass jar or cup.
Whisk to combine everything together. This will combine into a tasty pumpkin milk.

    Serve immediately and enjoy.

For Hot pumpkin spice latte

  • Freshly brew your favorite coffee.
Using a small saucepan on medium heat warm up milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice.
Whisk together until its combine. Make sure not to bring to a boil!
Pour coffee and pumpkin milk into your favorite drinking cup.
Add whipped cream, cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice (optional) on top to garnish.
    Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

The amount of sweetener can be easily changed depending on how sweet you like things. This recipe is sweetened to my taste where I don’t like my coffee too sweet but it’s still yummy.
This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.
The amount of pumpkin is more of a subtle taste whereas if you like your stronger just add more pumpkin puree.
You can substitute the maple syrup with sugar, brown sugar, stevia or your favorite sweetener.
