Here at paws and petals homestead is where you’ll find me sharing my love for gardening along with life on my little homestead with my boyfriend Casey and two dogs Lucy and Remi.

Hi I’m Emily! I was born in Connecticut. When I’m not working as a 9 to 5er, you’ll find me in my garden or outside enjoying the weather. I’m a lover of many gardening, kayaking, fishing, baking, thrifting, reading, and my dogs. I’m learning as I go and would love for you to stay and learn with me. Join me on this journey for some tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way.

How it started

I’ve always loved being outdoors but my love for plants and gardening truly developed after we bought our first home. It was an overwhelming experience buying a home and having to maintain it ourselves. The world was in a global pandemic, and we didn’t know what challenges we would have to face. Then I thought we should start a garden. I had little knowledge of what to do but with help from my boyfriend’s mom, my garden started, then I was hooked. My time in the garden is so peaceful and rewarding with every fail and success. Though my garden may not be huge, I work with what I have and every year my harvest is plentiful. There’s nothing better than fresh veggies and flowers grown at home. Follow along as we explore new lessons together in baking, gardening, and all things homesteading.
